We are an established independent pizzeria and are looking for an experienced industry professional to join the team at our SE Division location. We are a very tight crew and work efficiently by setting ourselves up for a successful service using clear communication and staying clean and organized. We all share high standards and a passion for quality food.
This part time Pizza Making shift is Wednesday-Saturday evenings, 17 hours a week, 4:30-9pm with opportunity to add hours.
A Pizza Maker at our shop involves hand stretching 18-inch and 10-inch pizzas and baking them in a high temperature oven, as well as some prep, dishes and occasionally assisting with FOH work. Pizza making or bread baking experience is required for this position.
Main Tasks include:
Hand stretching, topping, and baking thin crust round pizzas and pan pizzas
Receiving, accepting, and updating incoming online orders on a tablet
Customer-facing kitchen, greeting customers
Communicating with other stations to ensure orders are prepared properly
Slicing, finishing, boxing, and handing pizzas directly to customers
Using good judgment to determine whether pizzas meet our quality standards
Executing recipes and completing prep tasks neatly and efficiently
Taking stock of prepped ingredients on hand and making prep lists based on pars
Coordinating with the Front of House to keep slice pies stocked throughout service
Occasionally helping the Front of House with slices, salads, and other tasks
Helping with dishes, backing up other stations when needed, and keeping the workspace clean and organized
Completing open, mid, closing, and cleaning check lists daily
Making pizzas to stock our slice case ahead of opening and helping the opening crew get set up for the day
Compensation:
$26/hr flat wage (after the first 6 weeks at $25/hr) - we charge a service fee so your gross pay is guaranteed and consistent regardless of daily sales or customers' tipping preferences
