Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental services. This role involves working closely with the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients while promoting oral health education. Dentrix experience a plus, but willing to train. Expected start day would be in the beginning of the year.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain aseptic technique to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Document patient care in medical records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with dental systems and assisting techniques is advantageous.
Strong understanding of medical records management is essential.
Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
