Looking for a reliable caregiver to fill an in-home position 2 shifts/week, Wed + Fri mornings, 8am-1pm (with some flexibility). Available now. This is a hands-on role. Tasks include personal care such as dressing, positioning, hygiene, toileting, showering (using a shower chair) and transferring. An electric Hoyer is used for simple/safe transfers. The morning shift is shared between two providers, with some tasks distinct and some partnered (such as during transfers).
Client is wheelchair bound as the result of a spinal cord injury (other than physical disability is otherwise unimpaired) and weighs about 106 lbs. The workplace is a clean, quiet home in peaceful surroundings. It’s a non-smoking environment and caregivers must be non-smokers.
Other qualifications: must have reliable transportation, need to live within reasonable driving distance, be able to pass a state background check and complete the required orientation and paid training. In addition to the base rate, would be eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as other benefits as a Home Care Worker through Carewell SEIU.
