Our company, Specialty Comfort Care, is currently looking for new Registered Nurses to join our team. We are an in-home care agency, and we are proud to have provided service to individuals in need and the community of Portland since 2012. We are currently growing as we have just acquired a new contract and that's where you come in!

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our in-home care team part-time/on call. Experience working with an agency that holds an In Home Care-Comprehensive License is a plus. The RN will supervise and assess clients receiving in-home care in the Portland Metro area. That means this position does require some travelling to and from client's homes. Here is a general description of the position and what we are looking for:

Responsibilities/Activities: The Home Care Nurse will oversee services provided to individuals in their own homes and communities who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other afflictions. Home care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite. Home Care Nurses ensure that employees, our Caregivers, deliver services in a trained, caring, and respectful manner, in accordance with Agency policies and industry standards. The Home Care Nurse will insure nursing services provided by the agency shall only be provided to clients who's medical condition and health status is stable and predictable.

Reporting Relationship: The Home Care RN will report to the Manager/Administrator.

Responsibilities/Activities:

Delegates specific tasks of nursing care to unlicensed personnel.

Ensures Agency policies, procedures, and industry standards and regulations are followed.

Assists with the coordination, evaluation, and planning of home care services.

Develops, implements, and evaluates strategic plans, goals, and objectives for in-home care.

Conducts in-home assessments of clients caregiving and nursing needs.

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of standards of practice and scope of practice in accordance with state regulations.

Comprehensive knowledge of health care disciplines and their role in client and family care.

Knowledge of personal care and home management skills.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal care services including evaluation of client's needs and satisfaction.

Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries including emergency First Aid and CPR.

Required Skills/Abilities:

The RN should have excellent communication skills, as you will be communicating with clients, caregivers, nurses, and office personnel on a daily basis.

This position also requires supervisory skills, as you will be in charge of overseeing our team of caregivers and ensuring that health care is being provided in accordance with current industry standards and in a considerate and professional manner.

This position requires a reliable individual who is able to travel to and from client's homes and conduct all necessary tasks and duties in evaluating client's healthcare needs and administering proper care.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate on a regular basis.

Qualifications/Education:

Certified with Oregon State Nursing Board

Current Driver's License

Proper vehicle insurance coverage

We are offering $35/hr to qualified individuals. This position will be part time or on call.
