I am a 33-year-old disabled man seeking to hire multiple full-time home care aides to assist with my daily needs. My current caretaker, my mother, is seriously ill and cannot take care of me anymore, so it is urgent that we find replacements.
Applicants should be compassionate, thoughtful, patient, careful, and with good attention to detail. I am fragile and easy to injure, and I do not have use of my arms.
HOURS
Ideally we would need you to work 3 to 7 shifts per week around the following times:
- Morning: 9 AM to 5 PM
- Evening: 5 PM to 1 AM
- Overnight: 1 AM to 9 AM
However we are flexible as to the timing and length of shifts if none of those options work for you.
COMPENSATION
$25/hr
Payment will initially be private pay for the first couple weeks, but will transition to Medicaid once I am approved, after which you would be paid the Medicaid rate, which is usually between $18 and $22 an hour. If you're not set up to receive payment through Medicaid, we can help you set that up. The process is fairly straightforward.
DUTIES
–Food shopping, preparation, and feeding. Ability to cook is always a plus but not necessary. I mostly eat frozen foods
–Help using the bathroom
–Assistance with basic hygiene such as bathing, brushing teeth etc.
–Housekeeping
–Transportation to doctors appointments. This is not necessary from all applicants as we only need one worker to be able to do this.
-Help with various miscellaneous tasks
