Hands-on physical therapy clinic seeks motivated individual for a Monday, Wednesday, Friday position (as well as a Tuesday, Thursday position). Our typical schedule is 7:30 am to 7:00 p.m. for the M-W-F shift. Tuesday/Thursday hours are 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Job duties include applying ultrasound, performing patient massages, instructing patients in exercises prescribed by the therapist, removing patients from TENS electrical stim treatment, application of hot and cold packs, preparing and dating patient charts, front office work, light phones, light typing (usually one-page evaluations and progress reports), insurance pre-authorization calls, treatment room prep before and after each visit, and general clinic cleaning. Approximately once per month our physical therapy aide will deliver prescription pads and marketing material to local Dr.'s in our service area.
We are a clinic that focuses on manual therapy with a primarily orthopedic patient base.
Candidates pursuing a career in physical therapy or allied health professions will be given priority as we interview and fill this position. Those applicants with degrees, certificates, personal trainers, athletic trainers, and those with anatomy/physiology classes, and individuals with massage interest / experience are encouraged to apply. This is an ideal opportunity for a PT / OT / Massage Therapy student to work while they obtain their education.
