A Loving family needs a Part-time to full-time RN, CNA nursing, caregiver, companion for a home healthcare position. This Position involves taking care of an adorable 18 year old with a trach and G-tube. The setting is a new, beautiful, handicap accessible home with ceiling lift, sleep-safe bed and a built in nurses desk. This job requires doing nursing duties; Trach and G-tube care, suctioning, medication administration, G-tube feedings, respiratory therapy, along with ADLs . CNAs are under a delegating nurse and are thoroughly trained. There is no lifting as there is a ceiling lift system. It is one child and in a private home. Available is Part-time to full-time nights MTWTHFSS 11pm-9:00am. Also available evening swing shift on weekday and 12 hour day shift on weekends during the summer. Night shift 9 hours week days and up to 12 hours weekends. Day shift is 8 hours during the week and 12 hours on the weekend. More hours will be available during winter and spring break and summer for longer shifts. If you are a good fit and work well with our family, more shifts may be available.
Funding is through the State of Oregon DHS. Starting Pay for CNA is 18.00 during training and higher wage after intense training. RN 39.14 an hour as a Contract nurse. CNAs are thoroughly trained and then delegated the nursing tasks. Nurses, must have at least one year of experience preferably with Trachs. This is NOT A TEMPORARY JOB as this is a home environment and change is difficult for a young adult. We are looking for someone to work at least one year. We are looking for someone who is reliable, competent, committed, and caring. This person must be patient and good with teens. Experience with children or young adults is preferred. An Application with the state and Criminal Background check is required and must be passed before being employed. Training can happen during waiting period. You must have a clean criminal background or the state will not hire you. We are only accepting residents of Oregon. This is a great place to get experience for nursing students working as CNAs.
