Who We Are:
Stellar Home Services is a residential home repair startup looking for reliable Handypersons to undertake upkeep and repair tasks for multiple managed properties. We’ll rely on you to keep over 100+ managed properties in perfect condition by doing various interior and exterior odd jobs.
Must be a team player who works well with others, well organized, have strong general repair skills, a keen eye for detail and the capability to withstand the physical demands of general contracting jobs.
What You'll Do:
Techs are to perform maintenance and repair tasks on residential rental properties to ensure they are kept in excellent condition. These repairs can include the following:
Replacing alarms/bulbs/filters.
Replacing disposals or repairing running toilets.
Replacing fixtures as needed such as lights, faucets or blinds.
Move in/out turnover services such as minor paint and drywall repair, trash removal and hauling.
Help with or leading larger repairservices such as door replacements, siding repair, fences and exterior pressure washing.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Completing assigned work orders generated from client requests for services.
Obtaining materials and supplies needed for jobs
Completing documentation from jobs in a complete, timely and accurate manner so that repair requests can be properly documented, tracked and invoiced.
Assisting clients by repairing rather than replacing parts if possible.
Being cost effective with materials and practicing proper and safe use of tools and equipment
Must Haves:
At least 2 years of previous general contractor or handyperson experience
Documented experience in 1 or more of the following areas:
Framing
Siding
Windows
Light Electrical
Plumbing
Usable tools necessary to complete basic repair jobs
A high school diploma or GED equivalent
A valid driver's license with no major moving traffic violations
Access to a working and reliable automobile
Must be able to lift/climb/stoop with weights in excess of 20 lbs.
A history of quality work, reliable attendance and strong safety records
What You Need To Be Successful:
Ability to work well with other team members
Experience in various construction and maintenance tasks
Ability to use general tools, such as drills, hammers, saws, tape measures, screw drivers and others
Versatility in handling a wide range of tasks efficiently and with a strong commitment to quality work.
Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position as well as possess some of the tools needed
Have a professional, friendly and enthusiastic approach to communication and interaction with clients and tenants
Have an ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
Strong attention to detail, ability to stay focused and take pride in quality of workmanship
Ability to work and climb tall ladders, crawl into tight spaces, bend down, kneel for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
Ensure that work area is left clean and free of debris
Experience using invoicing software/applications preferably Housecall Pro
Ability to log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion
Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, terms/conditions of employment and/or other means of communication
Nice To Haves:
Additional knowledge in drywall, painting, plumbing, appliance and electrical work is advantageous.
Perks:
Pay Range: $25-$28/hr.
