As a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader in our Residential Maintenance division, you'll lead a team while getting your hands dirty alongside them. You'll manage daily operations on residential properties, operate professional equipment, supervise crew members, and ensure every property looks its absolute best. If you thrive in a leadership role where you can mentor others while creating stunning outdoor spaces, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities and DutiesConduct daily safety inspections of equipment, vehicles, and job sitesPerform landscape maintenance duties such as pruning, planting, irrigation repairs, and mowingAssign daily tasks to Crew Members and oversee their work qualityCommunicate with Supervisors regarding crew performance, equipment issues, and job-related concernsTroubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessaryApply chemicals and fertilizers properly and safelyInteract with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfactionSupport career development of Crew Members through coaching and mentoringManage site hours to maintain budget and control material usageComplete daily documentation including time tracking, work performed, and vehicle inspectionsWork with seasonal crews for snow and ice removal during winter monthsMaintain cleanliness of shop, yard, and truck/trailer spacesRequired QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of landscape maintenance experience requiredSupervisory experience leading a teamKnowledge of landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and horticulture practicesAbility to operate gas-powered equipment (mowers, blowers, hedgers, etc.)Proficiency with smartphones and work applicationsStrong customer service and conflict resolution skillsAbility to lift up to 75 pounds dailyValid driver's license with satisfactory driving record (preferred)Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)Plant identification knowledge (preferred)Work Schedule and EnvironmentThis position is based at our headquarters in Southeast PortlandWork schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week with possible overtime and weekend hours during peak seasons.Work outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme temperaturesRequired safety equipment is provided at no cost (vests, glasses, gloves, hearing protection)Travel between job sites in a company vehicleBenefits & Pay Range$21-$27 per hour, dependent upon experiencePaid vacation, sick leave and holidaysComprehensive and affordable health insurance: medical, dental, vision, mental health, and alternative medicine401k with generous company match40% employee discount on all plants and retail merchandisePartner discounts and employee store passes at Danner, Carhartt, Duluth Trading, Adidas, and ColumbiaTuition reimbursement for ongoing educationOpportunities for professional growth and advancement within the companyAbout UsDennis' 7 Dees is a family-owned and operated business with deep roots in the Portland area.
