Landscape East & West is a full-service award winning, eco-friendly, customer focused landscape contractor. We currently have an opening for an experienced Plant Health Care Technician and Irrigation Technician based out of our Clackamas location.
Irrigation Technician:
- Start-ups, winterizations, backflow testing, and general irrigation repair work for residential properties.
- Installation of new irrigation systems and Backflow Preventers.
- Installation and repair of drainage systems and other water control systems.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience with irrigation systems (experience with residential systems is preferred). Certification or a degree in a related field can be a substitution for work experience.
- Backflow certificate for Oregon or ability to acquire one (HS diploma or GED required).
- Strong communication skills
- Tech Savvy and willing to learn new systems when needed
- Possess a valid and insurable driver's license
Plant Health Care Technician:
Performs all functions of the integrated pest management and herbicide programs, including applications, inspections, sampling, inventories, equipment maintenance, record keeping, and customer relations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in the plant health care field.
- Valid Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator license.
- Understands and demonstrates proficiency with products and techniques used to maintain and diagnose plant health
- Understands and adheres to label directives on each product used, mixing & transportation procedures, drift control procedures, disposal techniques, and company policies regarding PPE and the storage and handling of pesticide products.
- Ability to manage daily and weekly schedule and adjust for weather conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Tech Savvy and willing to learn new systems when needed
- Possess a valid and insurable driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to walk through maintenance accounts, through all types of terrain.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel & dig
- Able to drive company assigned vehicle and trailer.
Both full time positions, 10-hr work shifts 4 days/week. PTO, insurance, & 401k available.
