Position Summary:
JR Johnson, a Watterson Solutions Company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality carpentry work on residential and commercial projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The Lead Carpenter collaborates closely with foremen, project managers, and other crew members to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of carpentry work, including framing, trim, finish, and cabinetry installation.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials with precision according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Install and repair doors, windows, casings, baseboards, and molding.
Build and install frameworks, partitions, rafters, stairs, and other structural components.
Conduct demolition and site preparation as required for project scope.
Install drywall, perform patching, and complete minor painting or touch-up work.
Assist in construction-related tasks as needed.
Inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of all work before completion.
Maintain regular communication with supervisors, foremen, and project managers regarding progress and site conditions.
Train and mentor less experienced team members to promote craftsmanship and safety awareness.
Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are inspected daily and maintained in safe working order.
Follow all company safety procedures and participate in weekly safety meetings.
Secure work areas daily and ensure compliance with fall protection and other safety protocols.
Protect surrounding property and vehicles prior to beginning work to prevent damage.
Maintain organized and clean job sites, ensuring materials and waste are properly managed.
Complete and submit daily timekeeping and work reports accurately and on time.
Respond promptly to changing project priorities or unexpected challenges with professionalism.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Capable of performing physically demanding work for 8–10 hours per day.
Able to perform a range of body movements, such as standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various positions.
Willingness to work in varying conditions, including exposure to water, smoke, or mold (with proper protective equipment).
Ability to travel to worksites, as required.
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in:
Installing trim, casings, windows, and doors
Installing and fixing cabinetry
General Carpentry
Painting and drywall
Rough Carpentry is a plus.
A valid driver’s license in good standing
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Willingness to work in on-call rotation.
