Compassionate Care Home Pet Euthanasia and Cremation Service is a well-respected and established veterinary mobile service and eco-friendly crematory that has served our community for over ten years. We provide a much-appreciated service to families that seek us out for the best in end of life care for their beloved pets. We are seeking a Facility Manager for our busy pet crematory to enhance our exceptional and dedicated team. This is a position requiring 32-40 hours during the day per week, including some weekends and holidays.

This position's most important duty is to ensure that all of the pets in our care are handled as carefully and respectfully as we would handle our own pets, and that their cremations occur in a timely manner with thorough identification throughout the entire process. This position also serves the important role of being part of the leadership team, managing the crematory staff and being responsible for all aspects of the crematory. The special person we are looking for will be exceptionally detail-oriented, efficient, an effective problem solver, and highly organized. They will also be mature and self-motivated, but enjoy working independently. Experience in the veterinary, animal, medical and/or end of life care fields a plus. A high level of emotional intelligence, consideration and compassion for both the pet family members in our care as well as their families is essential. Please note that managerial experience is REQUIRED.

The Facility Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of crematory equipment, respectfully handling deceased pets, and ensuring that their cremated remains are returned to their grieving families in a timely manner. Our cremation service is a water-based, eco-friendly process, and does NOT require exposure to the traditional flame-based equipment and environmental exposure. Extensive customer care assistance will be required, so the ability to professionally and empathetically communicate with grieving families is important. Some driving is required, and candidates must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. He or she must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, be willing and able to work in a physically and intellectually demanding position, and carefully adhere to safety protocols.

Our successful candidate will understand, strongly align with and support our company values, which are as follows:

- Communicate – often and well - words, tone and demeanor are critical in all modes of communication when working with clients and co-workers

- Be remarkable – provide the kind of exceptional client experience people want to talk about

- Be respectful and kind – to the pets entrusted to us and care for them as if they were our own; to our clients; and to our co-workers. Put others first and be the kind of coworker we would want to work with.

- Be a proactive problem solver and pay attention to details – think above and beyond and be observant

- Be positive and give the benefit of the doubt – everyone has a story. Positivity begets positivity

- Keep it simple

Our company culture is a friendly, collaborative, and strongly supportive environment where work-life balance is emphasized. We feel very honored to provide this special service to our community.
