We are seeking a Facility Manager for our busy pet crematory to enhance our exceptional and dedicated team. This is a position requiring 32-40 hours during the day per week, including some weekends and holidays.
This position's most important duty is to ensure that all of the pets in our care are handled as carefully and respectfully as we would handle our own pets, and that their cremations occur in a timely manner with thorough identification throughout the entire process. This position also serves the important role of being part of the leadership team, managing the crematory staff and being responsible for all aspects of the crematory. The special person we are looking for will be exceptionally detail-oriented, efficient, an effective problem solver, and highly organized. They will also be mature and self-motivated, but enjoy working independently. Experience in the veterinary, animal, medical and/or end of life care fields a plus. A high level of emotional intelligence, consideration and compassion for both the pet family members in our care as well as their families is essential. Please note that managerial experience is REQUIRED.
The Facility Manager is responsible for the operation and maintenance of crematory equipment, respectfully handling deceased pets, and ensuring that their cremated remains are returned to their grieving families in a timely manner. Our cremation service is a water-based, eco-friendly process, and does NOT require exposure to the traditional flame-based equipment and environmental exposure.
