NW Employment is partnered with a local company in Gresham that makes and manufactures labels, and we are looking to add a Press Operator to join our team!
Shift- Mon-Thur 5pm-3am
Pay- $21-$23/hr
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up and run printing press on a daily basis following protocols as provided by Management
Take precautionary measures to maintain a clean workspace, and to properly care for equipment and raw materials. Clean up liquid spills completely and immediately after they occur.
Adhere to 5S program requirements.
Read job paperwork thoroughly and carefully to fully understand customer and in-house requirements. Always complete necessary paperwork as instructed at all times.
Use CERM program to track job times and material usage properly. Report any malfunction of this system immediately to Management.
Thoroughly inspect all inks, coatings and supplementary supplies provided from warehouse are in suitable condition for the production of quality printed materials.
Follow procedures and instructions provided with respect to Press setup and cleanup, periodic maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting, and follow best practices for Flexographic printing.
Where an ink setup code is applied, use specified aniloxes with BCM’s that are within the range shown on the job documentation.
Verify your printed product against a signed copy of the customer approved proof.
Follow End of Shift steps provided by management before leaving your workstation for the day
Maintain safe operating practices at all times. Report any dangerous situations or unsafe practices to your immediate supervisor at all times.
Physical requirements necessary to perform this job:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
1st shift 5am-5pm; 2nd shift 5pm – 5am
Alternating weekly shifts, Mon-Wed one week, Mon-Thu next week. No weekends.

CERM computer program for job tracking
Ink pumps at press station
Anilox wash bath / Sonic Cleaner
Tensile Strength test machine
Rub Tester for abrasion
Plate mounting equipment
Air Trim system and silicone mist system for waste
Trash compactor
Corona Treater
Phidastien UV System
