Job Description:
The Restoration Field Technician is responsible for working as part of a team to perform emergency services and restoration work while adhering to company policies and procedures regarding remediation. They will also:
Adhere to EPA, OSHA, and local requirements regarding safety and hazardous materials handling.
Be available for emergency response and work after hours and on weekends.
Support various levels of residential, commercial, and catastrophic loss, handling water, wind, fire, mold, and other basic construction, which may include demolition, content manipulations, water, and fire mitigation.
Perform fire, water & mold mitigation for residential/commercial properties with crews as needed. Work may involve performing restoration and drying in large commercial buildings.
Ensure all daily paperwork, including time sheets, is collected and all documentation complete.
· Have empathy for others and show a sense of urgency in resolving customers’ problems.
· Work hard and take pride in doing the job right every time.
· Communicate with management to report project status, updates, issues, or concerns.
Other qualifications and responsibilities might arise as deemed necessary by circumstances.
Job Duties:
Perform carpet or content cleanings as scheduled.
Pack out and correctly inventory items when necessary.
Maintain a clean, presentable office, work vehicle, and uniform.
Maintain warehouse and equipment (keep it clean and organized).
Ensure vehicles are always clean and ready for a new job (equipment & materials ready).
· Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear.
· Taking various job notes and sketching customer's homes (Drafting experience a Plus).
· Maintaining job files with correct forms, notes, pictures, and authorizations from start to finish.
· Hazardous Waste Operations.
· All other duties as assigned.
All applicants must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Required education and experience.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 2-4 years of construction and restoration experience, working on water/fire damage jobs specifically, environmental experience, and hazardous waste
Compensation and Benefits
$25-$30.00/hr. DOE plus commission on every job performed
