Warehouse Associate

AIMCO, a leading Marketer of Industrial Assembly Equipment and Assembly Systems, currently has an immediate career opportunity for a Warehouse Associate.

SUMMARY

Receives, ships, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within warehouse by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reports damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyers to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to location.

Reads work order or shipping order to determine items to be shipped.

Conveys materials and items from receiving to warehouse location.

Sorts and places materials or items on shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as product code.

Assembles orders from stock and conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

Marks materials with identifying information.

Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.

Arranges stock parts in specified sequence.

Uses computer to enter records.

Drives vehicle to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

Performs cycle count, as required.

Performs routine maintenance.

Forklift Certified and must maintain the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, hoists, etc.)

Current driver’s license and ability to be insured and safely drive a small truck (1/2 – 1 ton)

QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must have experience using a computer.

Must have general knowledge in use of MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and an ERP (order pulling) system.

Experience with shipping software is a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math.

Includes the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and climb a ladder.
