TITLE: Warehouse Clerk
STARTING PAY: $13-14
Day Shift
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives goods from manufacturing or outside vendors and correctly identifies by using purchase order, prints, or drawings
Ensures manufacturing operations are complete and verifies quantities
Unloads trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks or forklifts
Ensures parts are not damaged and transports parts to the correct destination
Checks, orders, supplies, and replenishes floor stock as needed by working with Purchasing or Production Control
Processes returned goods as directed by Purchasing
Builds crates
Pick customer orders
Schedule deliveries
Skills:
Ability to operate forklift
Read tape measure to 1/16th inch
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Possess basic computer and clerical skills
Education/Experience:
At least 2 years experience
SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to reach and to lift product selected weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. with an average case weight of 25 lbs.
Manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance are required. Ability to stand, walk and move rapidly for entire work shift. Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Ability to do repetitious arm movements above and below shoulder level required for selection of product. Ability to use and operate related work aides to include motor driven pallet jacks.
Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Ability to learn proper selection procedures, shipping and receiving techniques, computerized inventory procedures and safe operating techniques of motor driven pallet jacks and forklifts.
