Description:
Classic Sash & Door is a window and door installation contractor looking to add a high quality individual with a positive attitude to our installation team immediately. We value craftsmanship and leaving our customers with a quality replacement window or door project they will enjoy for years to come.
You will be responsible for:
o Driving the company box van and ensuring materials are delivered to their respective job sites in the Portland area safely,
o Keeping our warehouse and parking lot clean and organized, as well as assist with the cleaning and orderly maintenance of our vehicle fleet,
o Communicate and coordinate directly with our vendors for product delivery,
o Unloading windows and doors from delivery trucks safely,
o Helping as needed as assistant to our lead carpenters during installations on job sites.
This position is full time and year round.
9/80 hour work schedule.
Candidates interested in developing their carpentry skills could advance into full time window and door installers with the right mindset.
Position will be directly supervised by the Installation Team Manager, but will also work closely with the office and other lead carpenters for product and material distribution
Requirements:
Clean driving record and valid drivers license.
Competently drive a 16 ft box van on any surface roads in the Portland area. We primarily work on single family homes in inner city neighborhoods.
Able to comfortably lift and move around windows, doors, and other heavy objects in a controlled manner and is familiar with safe and proper lifting technique.
Treat client homes with care and respect, and work diligently and professionally in the presence of homeowners.
Experience with and knowledge about window and door installation is a huge benefit.
We pay competitively and offer a great benefits package including full medical and 401K match. Breakfast is supplied by the office to entire staff at each employee birthday, and we have company parties for the whole family throughout the year. Hourly wage would start at $23 per hour, compensation will ultimately be determined by performance.
