Our firm specializes in business litigation, asset protection, and bankruptcy. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal to assist on a freelance basis in preparing Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal who can work independently and efficiently while ensuring high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other required documentation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of client financial information and ensure accuracy in filings.
- Communicate with attorneys, trustees, and clients as needed to gather information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on bankruptcy laws and procedural requirements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost professionalism.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bankruptcy case preparation.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF) is a plus.
