The goal of the team and our firm is to provide excellent service to our clients. With that in mind, the following are the qualifications and requirements we are looking for:

Qualifications:

Enjoy working in a fun team environment.

Observe the highest level of confidentiality within the attorney-client relationship.

Strong organizational skills ability to prioritize and to successfully complete tasks under time constraints in order to meet important deadlines.

Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical and spelling errors.

Must have Word skills including, formatting, redline/track changes, styles and cross referencing.

Skilled in procedures and rules from different jurisdictions and the phases of litigation.

Knowledge of:

o Filing procedures and rules in Oregon & Washington courts

o Digital dictation

o Preparation of correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents

o Document management systems for the maintenance of electronic files

o Excel and PowerPoint

Essential Functions:

Docket/calendar deadlines and follow-up with attorneys as necessary ahead of time to ensure tasks are completed timely. Review applicable procedures and rules to confirm deadlines have been calculated correctly.

Schedule appointments, meetings, hearings and depositions. Make sure all other actions outside these arrangements are complete (i.e. prepare confirming communications, notices, retain court reporters, arrange for conference rooms, etc.).

Open new files, request conflict of interest checks from Records Department, maintain all files up-to-date both electronically and physically.

Manage and maintain files from beginning of a case through trial, arbitration and/or mediation.

Coordinate service of pleadings to opposing parties. E-file accurately in state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington
