Overview:

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer / Production Artist to join our in-house graphics team. The ideal candidate should possess strong graphic design and production skills. The candidate must be a problem solver, self-disciplined, organized, have a keen eye for detail, and can follow directions.

The role involves but is not limited to designing projects across the museum and fabrication industry and assisting with proposals. As part of this role, the candidate will be responsible for graphic design, production file prep, measuring built exhibits, reading CAD drawings, photo retouching, pre-flighting files, and preparing proposals. The candidate will work under the direction of the Graphic Studio Manager and/or Senior Graphic Designers.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly skilled in graphic design, composition, typography, color, etc., and can follow style guides.

The following qualifications are required for this position:

We are looking for someone with 1 to 4 years of experience in the graphic design industry

A college degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience in the industry

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Word, and Excel in a Mac-based environment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team environment

A good understanding of print-production processes, Large-format printing a plus

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be a team player and work with a variety of people in various disciplines

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Experience in illustration is a plus

The compensation details for this position are as follows:

Hourly pay ranging from $25 to $27, dependent upon experience

Onsite work five days a week is required

40 hours per week required

Flexibility for some overtime as needed

The possibility of partial hybrid flexibility may be discussed after the probationary period
