We need a dedicated Machine Operator and Packaging Associate who is extremely reliable and precise. We are a team-oriented business and we are growing rapidly.
Job Description: This position supports the entire PPFC Operations Department by primarily packaging and casing our dog treats. To ensure overall success, all production associates will occasionally assist bakery staff. Training will be provided for all tasks assigned and equipment used.
Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time – 40 hours weekly; Monday - Friday – 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Automatic filling machine to bag dog treats
Perform preventative maintenance and daily sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
Complete metal detection program in compliance with established operating procedures
Participate in routine packaging operations outside of the bagging area
Education and Training:
Multnomah County Food Handler’s certificate required within 30 days of hire
Professional Experience:
Automatic filling machine operation
General understanding of mechanics of pneumatic equipment
Warehouse equipment: pallet jack, pallet stacker
Understanding of food manufacturing, food safety, lot coding, and FIFO inventory
Personal Experience and Work Ethic:
Flexible in daily tasks and adaptable to growth and change
Reliable attendance
Desire to maximize workflow, achieve goals, and follow standards
Attention to detail that prevents errors
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk continuously during an 8-hour shift
Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds
Frequent stooping, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and lifting
Operation of basic warehouse equipment, including an electric pallet jack (training provided)
