CutMyTimber is a growing mass timber fabricator and timber frame shop. We use state of the art European CNC beam processors Hundegger), as well as unique specialty hand tools such as Mafell and Festool machines.
We are currently building a new shop in Eagle Creek, OR. Our current shop is in NW Portland on Swan Island. We will be transitioning into our new Eagle creek location this fall or winter.
We are a small, young and highly motivated team.
The Job:
Most of your daily tasks will be woodworking and timber framing. But a candidate with some metal fabrication skills and welding would be preferred, as we have several metal tasks while setting up our new shop.
Your daily work would be as follows:
All kind of woodworking tasks such as routing, drilling, gluing, planing, sanding, etc.
Test fitting beams
Preinstall hardware
Wrapping and packing
Shop logistics (loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and Combilift side loaders). Keep shop organized and clean.
Optional: Welding task in shop (adding brackets to building or equipment)
The ideal candidate has experience in either timber framing, woodworking, or carpentry. But we are willing to train a motivated person that has some shop and craft skills.
We would also train the right candidate on one of our CNC machines (Hundegger K3i and Robot Max CNC beam processor / Shop Sabre router table).
Job is indoors in our brand new, insulated shop in Eagle Creek (as soon as we are operational). The next few months it will be split between the Portland location and Eagle creek. No on-site work.
Fork lift and wood working experience preferred, but not necessary.
This is for a full-time position. Mo-Fr. 6:30am – 3:00pm
Compensation starting at $24-35.00/hour based on experience.
This is a steady, full-time position on hourly bases. All federal holidays paid. No benefits or health insurance.
