Andersen Dairy, Inc has been a part of the Battle Ground community for over 55 years. We began producing milk in 1966, at the same location in Battle Ground, as it does today. We play a positive role in the community, giving back through local events, food and toy drives, recycling and jobs to the local community. Our milk plant and trucking fleet work together to full fill over 34 grocery stores milk, water and juice needs. We are looking for a Safety Assistant, with great people skills that enjoys problem solving and creating a positive work environment in difficult situations.
This position takes place in a manufacturing and production environment. The work environment itself is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
Shift: 11:30pm - 8am, with split days off. Sun & Wed. Training to take place on day shift.
Position Responsibilities Include:
· Initiate and/or implement approved safety measures in work areas.
· Inspect work area premises for hazardous elements.
· Educate workers and employees on safety aspects.
· Collaborate with departmental heads in implementing safety processes.
· Ensure first aid treatment is provided immediately to injured employees.
· Strictly adhere to corporate safety guidelines and procedures.
· We are looking for someone with:
· 1 year in a safety role, entry level is okay
· Highschool diploma or equivalent.
· Knowledge of relevant regulations such as WAC, OSHA, EPA and ANSI
· Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.
· Acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Great knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to communicate effectively and connect with people from various backgrounds and work history.
Starting wage $22-$25
We offer:

· Employee only: $100.00
· Employee +1: $348.02
· Family: $726.06
The medical is through providence.
IRA or other savings options with company matching of up to 3% of wages after 60 days.
Vacation Pay:
· 1 week @ 1 year
· 2 weeks @ 2 years
· 3 weeks @ 10 years
· 4 weeks @ 20 years
We have 4 paid holidays a year. These days are paid as 8 hours of regular rate of pay, however we may still be required to work those days:
· Thanksgiving
· Christmas
· New Years
· Birthdays
2 free gallons of milk or juice every week.
