Our client is a global steel and mining company and the leading producer of infrastructure steel products and is looking for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing mechanical maintenance, installations, repairs, and inspecting all mill equipment

Troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis, and repairing breakdowns for gearboxes, turbines, motors, conveyors, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, & steel manufacturing equipment

Performing welding, handling alignments, and anything related to preventative maintenance

Operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment

Knowledge / experience using CMMs maintenance management computer software

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

8+ years of industrial maintenance experience - No Journeyman Card Needed! (BONUS, if you have this though)

The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Previous experience working with a wide variety of equipment and machinery, preferably in a steel mill or industrial manufacturing

A valid driver license

Strong mathematical skills

Experience operating cranes, forklifts, man lifts and scissor lifts

The ability to work a 4 on 4 off schedule on 12 hour shifts

The ability to work in North Portland

successfully clearing a criminal background check and drug screen are required for this role
