Portland Clean Air Fund is hiring door to door canvassers . We pay $40 an hour — the quota is one $20 donor per hour. This has been the average pay for our door canvassers so far. We only need about two or three people and we prefer to hire people with canvassing experience.
We are most interested in people who can work the 5pm - 9pm door canvassing shift. Additional hours are possible.

Since the Bullseye Glass scandal 12 of the most dangerous Portland industrial air polluters installed a scrubber on their smokestack or otherwise mitigated at a cost of $1 million each.
The smokestack problem is going really well but most of our trucks are still unfiltered. We’re in the worst 1% of counties for diesel particulate exposure according to the EPA.Diesel particulate causes 70% of cancer risks from all airborne carcinogens combined, according to the state of California.
California has banned all these trucks. We’ve identified the largest unfiltered fleets using ODOT and DMV data. We’re going after them with 56 Portland Neighborhood Association boards and 16 churches and synagogues.
We take on numerous projects canvassing and petitioning throughout the year. We will always have work available.
