Rate: $23 per hour
Location: District 1, aka Outer East Side of Portland
Hours: 16-20 hours per week, with 10 hours on weekends
Duration: Part - Time now through November 5th

Overview:
Progressive campaign in District One seeks budding organizers. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our campaign team as Paid Canvassers. This role involves engaging with community members to discuss important issues, promote our candidate, and encourage voter participation. If you are passionate about grassroots organizing and making a difference in your community, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Door-to-Door Canvassing: Visit assigned neighborhoods and engage with residents to discuss the campaign, answer questions, and provide information.
Voter Outreach/Education: Encourage voter participation in upcoming elections and educate on the new system of Portland City Elections.
Data Collection: Accurately record interactions and voter information using provided tools and software.
Represent the Campaign: Present a positive image of the campaign and its values to the public.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with campaign staff and volunteers to meet outreach goals.
Requirements:
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with a diverse range of people and clearly convey campaign messages.
Enthusiasm for the Campaign: Passionate about the issues and the candidate.
Dependability: Reliable and able to commit to the work schedule, including weekends.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable with extensive walking and standing during canvassing shifts.
Attention to Detail: Accurate in data recording and reporting.
Schedule:
Weekly Hours: 16-20 hours per week.
Weekend Commitment: 10 hours of work required on weekends.
Contract Duration: Now through November 5th.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $23 per hour.
Union Workplace, part time employees, W2.
