PROJECT RESPOND PROGRAM SUPERVISOR I (PEER SERVICES)

This position is located out of our Kerns Building in NE Portland. The schedule for this position is variable, with no overnights.

The Program Supervisor I works as the direct supervisor of the Peer Support and Peer Wellness Specialists to implement and monitor peer delivered services within Project Respond Crisis Services. The Program Supervisor provides general and specific direction to team members. This position involves leadership to implement program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based and client centered approach to assisting individuals being served by Project Respond. The Program Supervisor assures that peer wellness services are provided in cooperation with the larger crisis team members and as directed by the Program Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

Peer Delivered Services Supervisors shall be certified Peer Support Specialists (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialists (PWS) with at least one year of prior experience employed as a PSS or PWS in behavioral health services.

A Traditional Healthcare Worker (THW) certification is required in addition to the certification in order to keep current and in compliance with the OARs.

Openly identify as an individual who has lived experience of receiving mental health services and be willing and able to openly discuss your experiences with both clients and coworkers as appropriate.

Provide leadership and oversight of the daily operations of the program, including integration of best practices and evaluation of program services.

Provide regular supervision, training and guidance to PWS/PSS staff through Project Respond programs to ensure that program goals and objectives are met.

Support integration of Peer Wellness Specialists into larger Crisis Team

Represent the Peer Wellness Program at community, state, and/or national functions as related to the work of the Peer Wellness Program.

Consult with and coordinate treatment decisions with the Program Manager, Program Director, Program Medical Director, other Supervisors, and Counselors.
