We are seeking a reliable and organized Household Manager to assist with day-to-day household management tasks for a family of three. This role requires approximately 5-10 hours of work per week and may be split across two days. There may be additional work available over time. Work will be primarily completed in our home, but some tasks may be completed remotely.
We are two working professionals; one working full time (remotely), the other runs a small business. We have very busy lives and are looking for someone to help our household be more organized and prepared. Our household includes a high school student and two cats.
We need you to be able to keep track of what has been completed (or not) when you visit and relay that information to us in a concise manner (ex: chore app, text, note, or similar). We’re looking for someone who can catch the small details that we miss and make executive decisions about what to do without requiring much input.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Grocery and miscellaneous shopping
- Laundry (personal and household)
- Noticing when household supplies need to be replenished and doing so
- Handling returns and exchanges
- Meal prepping and planning
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining a household calendar
- Running errands and making phone calls
- Watering plants and ensuring their care
- Ordering cat food and refilling the dispenser
- Organizing household storage (pantry, garage, etc)
- Researching and coordinating service providers
- Breaking down boxes/packaging for recycling
- Researching and booking travel arrangements
- Deep cleaning appliances on a set schedule (ice machine, hot tub/cold plunge, espresso machine)
Additional tasks to be assigned as needed.
Note: This is not a housecleaning job; cleaning duties are limited to laundry and cleaning of appliances.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented
- Explicit communication
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and track them
- Experience in household management or similar roles is preferred
- Cat-friendly
- Driver’s license, own mode of transportation preferred
Compensation is $25 per hour, paid weekly.
