We are in search of an experienced Project Manager/Estimator in the Commercial Construction industry. We are an industry leader in commercial window treatments (blinds & shades) and looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years commercial construction project management or having completed an equivalent training program.
The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple construction jobs simultaneously from the time we get the contract to the completion of the project. This will include making sure opening documents, submittals, and closeout documents are all sent out and coordinating the proper flow of the project; collaborating with owners, engineers, architects, estimators, subcontractors, and governmental agencies who are involved in the construction process. Candidate will be responsible for RFI’s, Change Orders and dealing with issues that may arise on the jobsite. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is self-motivated and a team player who wants to learn and get involved in our operation.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to analyze and evaluate quotes, specifications, blueprints and bid documents to determine product and labor cost requirements.
Experience in preconstruction planning, estimating, scheduling and subcontractor bidding process.
Computer proficiency including MS Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
High attention to detail and organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Minimum of 2 years project management and estimating in the construction industry or having completed an equivalent training program.
Able to attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings as well as periodic site visits to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
