Carla Properties, Ltd. Is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk/Office Admin for the corporate office. The Accounting Clerk/Office Admin will provide support to the corporate team and field office operations through various accounting and office service duties. This is an in-office position. Customer Service / Administrative Responsibilities

1. Reception: answer phone, monitor front desk email account, greet and welcome visitors, monitor fax/copy machine.

2. Mail: pick up mail from the post office daily, post and drop off outgoing mail daily. Open, date stamp every page, code and distribute all mail, including invoices, work orders, packing slips and bulk mailing.

3. Digital inbox: open, print, date stamp every page, code and distribute all mail, including invoices, work orders, packing slips.

4. General office duties: daily opening/closing procedures, kitchen duties, filling supply orders, asset tracking, scanning, filing, maintaining organization of the supply room, ensure fax machine has paper, clothing orders and manage the corporate calendars. Maintain mailing list for Investors/Properties.

5. Attend periodic industry meetings and training events including assisting with the Annual Investor Meeting.

6. Always represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

7. Comply with local, state and federal Fair Housing Laws.

Accounting Responsibilities

1. Daily, mid-month and end of month Bank deposit verifications.

2. Assist the A/P Specialist with check run processes scanning, data entry, batch report verification. Reconcile Home Depot and Office Depot accounts.

3. Provide back-up support to the A/P Specialist and Accounting Manager.

This list is not all inclusive but rather a guide to the different items that fall under the responsibility of the position. Additional duties and/or projects may be delegated as company needs require.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Required

1. Ideal candidate must be self-directed, demonstrate supreme attention to detail, able to multitask effectively & efficiently, able to prioritize, have excellent data entry skills, have advanced organizational skills as well as be punctual and dependable.

2. Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred (2-3 years).

3. Intermediate skill level of MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher), Windows 11 operating system required.

4. Entry skill level in Accounts Receivable and accounting activities (2-3 years).

5. Experience with general office duties required including filing, bulk mailing, time management, data entry, record maintenance, document scanning, and fax/copy machine.

This position is 100% onsite in Carla Properties Corporate Office, which is west of the Pearl District.

Our corporate office is in beautiful Northwest Portland (Alphabet District). The office is closed to the public. There is free, secure parking for employee use. Office hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (37.5 hour work week).

Pay Details: $3,600 - $4,200 per month
