Desk Monitor

Job Summary:

The Desk Monitor watches and responds to building and resident needs. The Monitor is not to act as a

security guard nor a maintenance person. Rather, the Monitor is to notify the appropriate party should

a situation demand it. The Desk Monitor is to employ active interaction with both residents and staff. A

critical component to success is clear communication.

Job Responsibilities:

Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed

Assist other staff members in providing quality programs to all residents

Respond to tenant complaints/concerns

Job Title: Desk Monitor

Cooperation and coordination with Case Manager(s) and other staff workers to ensure an open

channel of communication regarding treatment and behavioral expectations of individuals

Documentation of daily log, point cards and notes of behavioral information needed for clear

and effective communication for staff shift change

Maintain curb appeal outside of normal business hours

Monitor security cameras

Maintain guest policy – inspect guest ID as well as ensure guest physically stays with tenant

during visits

Physically inspect building – regular floor walks (once per hour or as needed)

Instruct residents on incident reports and maintenance requests

Contact maintenance or security/police if issues arise

Other duties as requested by Community Manager

Qualifications required:

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to work as part of a team
