Reliques Longviewis a locally-owned antique shop in Longview, Washington specializing in high-quality, curated home decor, and unique vintage collectibles. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our customers, who range from seasoned collectors to new homeowners looking for one-of-a-kind pieces. We are currently seeking a friendly and reliable part-time cashier to join our team.
Our cashiers are the face of our business, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth, accurate transactions. This role requires someone who is not only skilled at handling payments but also has a genuine interest in vintage/antiques and is willing to learn. The ideal candidate is eager to assist customers with their questions. As part of a small team, you may also be asked to help with sales, cleaning, merchandising, other tasks as needed.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Required shifts are every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM. Other days may be scheduled as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Issue receipts and manage exchanges with a friendly demeanor.
- Greet all customers with a warm welcome and assist them with their inquiries about merchandise and the store.
- Answer the store phone take appropriate messages, answer questions or direct calls as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and maintain store appearance.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including wrapping purchases, bagging items, and general tidiness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a retail sales position is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Self starter and willingness to work.
