Shortbus Flashers is looking to hire a part-time production assistant. We are a small fishing tackle business located in Tigard, Oregon with a focus on salmon fishing gear. We have a cozy small shop setting that welcomes creative thinking and focuses on providing a friendly productive working environment.
We are currently looking for someone that is available part-time, 8:00am to 4:30pm for 3 days a week, Monday to Wednesday (no weekends/holidays). Daily tasks would include online order filling, production of flashers (up to 300 per day), restocking, and providing outstanding customer service. Most of the work being the production, inventory, and tape application to fishing flashers.
Must have the ability to:
Lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. throughout the day and occasionally upwards of 60 lbs.
Ability to unload/inventory freight shipments (pallet unloading, lifting/moving up to 50lb boxes)
Sit or stand for extended periods of time (indoors).
Ability to use both hands for extended periods of time (8 hrs. per day)
Ability to learn QuickBooks, Shopify, and Amazon online shopping platforms (computer literate).
Ability to communicate professionally.
Pack daily orders with efficiency and accuracy.
Ability to multitask between order filling, phones, and production.
Be dependable and reliable.
Have a good attitude!
Have a high attention to detail.
Maintain a clean/productive working environment.
Be self-motivated to maintain an efficient daily production pace.
Ability to have fun but keep it professional (sense of humor is a must!)
Be able to commute to Tigard 3 days a week - MONDAY to WEDNESDAY.
Training is required but some relative fishing or retail experience is preferred.
High school diploma/GED is required.
Starting at $18/hour – with room to grow based on performance/production skill.
Starting 24 hours/3 days a week.
