NwProGear is a family-owned bike shop in Portland dedicated to quality service and a great customer experience. We’re looking for a skilled, friendly mechanic to join our team—someone who cares about bikes, people, and doing great work.
Position Details:
Schedule: Full-time or part-time (20–40 hours/week)
Days Off: Fridays and Saturdays
Location: 9185 SE Foster Rd, Portland, OR 97266

What You’ll Be Doing:
Build and service a wide range of bikes
Diagnose and repair hydraulic brakes
Build wheels (or be excited to learn!)
Provide outstanding customer service to everyone—from daily commuters to growing families
Assemble new bikes efficiently and with pride
Keep the shop flowing in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
What You Bring:
Prior shop experience (ideally in a busy setting)
A solid mechanical foundation: brakes, drivetrains, wheel truing, etc.
Willingness to work on electric and non-traditional bikes
Confidence in your skills, and the humility to ask questions
Friendly, team-first attitude
Strong communication and time management skills
Love for people, bikes, and kids
A sense of pride in doing quality work and learning from mistakes
