Upscale Consignment Furniture & Décor in Gladstone is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, self-starter for our large consignment furniture showroom.
This is an entry-level position for a strong yet careful person to load, unload, and move unprotected home furnishings (some large, heavy, and awkward) within our warehouse using typical furniture moving equipment such as hand trucks and appliance dollies. Some of your time will also be spent cleaning, detailing, and making minor repairs to furniture.
Must be detail-oriented and take pride in doing a thorough job. Your responsibility includes making sure the furnishings, showroom, and loading dock are kept clean at all times, and that the furniture is presented to the public in the best possible way.
You should also posses a good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills as you will also be responsible for assembly and minor repairs as necessary.
A decent appearance, good speaking skills, and pleasant demeanor is a must, as you will also be speaking with, and assisting customers.

JOB DUTIES:
Entry-level position
Maneuver large, heavy, and awkward home furnishings that are unprotected within our warehouse using typical furniture moving equipment such as hand trucks and appliance dollies.
Maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Maneuver up to 100 pounds on occasion (with assistance and using moving equipment)
Detail clean and prep furniture for sale.
Minor furniture repair work.
Use of typical hand tools such as screwdrivers and socket wrenches required.
Assist customers in loading and unloading their furniture from their vehicles.
Moving and arranging furniture within our large showroom.
Providing customer service in the store, light cleaning, janitorial, and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a background check
Very detail oriented and able to work well without supervision
High School Diploma or GED
18 years old or older
