EE Schenck Company, a recognized leader in providing wholesale fabrics and notions to the quilting and craft industry for over a century, is looking for a full-time Notions Receiving Clerk for our warehouse on Swan Island. As a key member of our Notions team, you will receive incoming notions freight, verify stock against Purchase Orders and assist with the unpacking, sorting and stocking of notions inventory in the warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and Word), be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience in receiving/inventory and working in a warehouse environment is helpful.
Job duties of this position:
Receive and prioritize incoming notions freight for receiving
Verify stock against packing lists and purchase orders
Assist in rearranging warehouse storage to accommodate new items received – changing shelf height, moving racks, etc.
Monitor notions inventory, moving or removing overstock items
Update and/or clear purchase order reports as needed
Assist other warehouse departments as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products
Basic math skills
Detail oriented
Good communication skills
Ability to take direction
Ability to work independently
This position has a regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 4:30. Some overtime may be required but generally is not frequent.
