For over 21 years, Garnish Apparel has offered confidence, creativity, and connection through personal styling of our in-house line of clothing and accessories. With our pieces sustainably made right here in Portland and our shop located in the heart of the Pearl, we offer our clients and our team an intimate and meaningful way to experience fashion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an outgoing, hard-working, self-sufficient team member to style our clients and maintain the shop. Your job responsibilities would grow as you do and we'll provide training for the skills required to excel at this position. Whether you are a seasoned retail professional or an up-and-coming leader, we'd love to meet you!
QUALIFICATIONS
An interest in fashion
Retail experience
Basic computer skills
Not required, but bonus points for knowledge and proficiency of any of the following: POS software, social media, email marketing, website management (we use Shopify), Google docs, Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop
Effective English language skills required - both written and verbal
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity during slower times
Ability to climb a ladder, stand for extended periods of time, and lift 25-50 pounds occasionally
This is a full time position with 30 - 40 hrs scheduled per week
Must have the availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, occasional nights (1 - 4 per month for parties), long and short shifts. Holiday availability is required.
