Kelly Service is partnering with a local Testing Lab in Beaverton to find a full time, contract to hire Specimen Proccesing Specialist.
Wage: $20 (Raise at time of hire on)
Location: Beaverton, OR
Shift: Day shift 8am- 4:30pm Monday-Friday
Here are the details-
Summary/objective: Perform day-to-day department operations in a timely manner, while abiding by regulatory requirements.
Essential functions:

Receive and open specimen packages
Attach relevant paperwork and samples
Review requisitions for complete patient and billing information
Accession laboratory specimens and deliver to the lab for testing
Accurately log patient information from requisition form into company software
Document scanning
Route requisitions/payments to the appropriate department for processing
Non-Essential functions:
Accession/enter patient information on samples that arrive from accounts requiring special handling
Accession/enter patient information on samples that arrive with tests ordered requiring special handling
Handle inquiries about problematic evaluations from both inside and outside the department
Train new employees on department tasks
Cross train other staff members as needed
Track, log and report new employee analytics
Perform additional tasks outside the department as needed

Basic computer skills

Attention to detail
Able to work overtime as necessary
Adherence to safety guidelines for handling of hazardous materials and equipment
Supervisory responsibilities: not applicable
Physical demands:
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Lifting up to 25 lbs.
Repetitive hand movements with fine motor skill
Manual dexterity required to perform a variety of tasks involving the use of hands
Good hand eye coordination
Required education and experience:
High school diploma or GED
