Your job is to generate revenue for MaxBP | Frost Gear | HeavySwing our three primary brands, via direct, team, and partner sales. This is not a start-up. We have 14+ years of success for you to lean on, 100+ MLB customers, 1,000+ colleges, and countless success stories. Check reviews on our websites, what was your favorite? This is not a remote position, you must work at our HQ, just east of PDX airport. You must hit daily call metrics. If you do not like making calls, this job is not for you.

And please only apply if you have sales experience. We do not have the bandwidth to train you on how to sell.

Daily work Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day or more as work demands; some specific examples are below:

Call coaches (high school, college, professional) to introduce the company and the MaxBP Pitching machines, some will have heard of us for the past 12+ years via shows, emails, or players using the machine. Ask them to buy from us. When do they typically make purchases for the season? Who pays? What is their budget? Share how MaxBP could improve its practices thru efficiency, safety, portability, cost, etc.

Call website sales and upsell, add balls, bats, another machine, cross-sell brands we have acquired (Frost Gear and HeavySwing), etc. Increase the total value of the sale and, at a minimum, plant seeds for future sales from them. Would they be a good referral source? How did they find us? What sport and level of play are they?

Call, text, and email (if no phone number) everyone who submits web chat.

Call, text and email existing customers looking for more sales either directly or via referral or cross sell our other products.

LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media prospecting.

Follow up with customers a few weeks after purchase, ensure they are happy, ask for an online review, a referral to a friend, fellow coach, player, etc. Ask for another sale, cross-sell brands we have acquired. At a minimum start a new relationship that will lead to future revenue.

Events - we attend several events each year; the main three are the December NFCA Softball, December MLB Winter Meetings, and January ABCA Baseball show. Others we have attended over the years are Texas HS, Ohio HS, Pacific Northwest coaching convention, World Baseball/Softball Expo in CT, NFCA Coaching Clinics, Omaha Mens College World Series, NC Be the Best, MLB Spring Training in AZ and FL

Demos - ability to travel to schools and ballparks and demo machine collect leads and take orders on the spot.

We use the following software, all cloud-based, you will need a quality computer, and ideally, you will be familiar with several of these; if not, you must be able to display computer proficiency and convince us you can get up to speed very quickly.

Hubspot CRM - logging calls, support

Google Email - email and google docs

Google sheets - online version of Excel, critical that you understand how to use

Shopify - our website store host - to research support orders and look at existing orders when customers call for add-on sales.

Hubspot Marketing Automation - our marketing group handles sending, but this will be a good place to find hot leads to email. Hubspot experience working with sequences is a plus but not mandatory.

Slack - team and project communication

Google - looking up coaches, orders to get background prior to calls

Desired Skills and Experience

Baseball/Softball/Sports - background would be helpful but not required; the most essential skill and proven experience is the ability to make calls, prospect, work the pipeline, and sell/close deals.

Communication skills - must enjoy talking to people

Sales - proven history of hitting numbers and understanding the sales numbers game

Closer - ability to close deals, add on to existing sales, develop relationships
