OverviewThe Spa Manager will demonstrate strong business skills to drive revenue and work closely with the marketing and sales teams to meet forecasts while adhering to budget guidelines. As part of a health club, the Spa Manager is responsible for overseeing staffing, cleanliness, and operations of the fitness center, locker rooms, and pool area—even when the spa is closed. This role also includes participating in Manager on Duty shifts for the entire lodge. As Spa Manager, you will mentor a diverse and creative team and play a key role in managing spa events that align with the broader lodge experience. Additionally, you will cultivate an inviting aesthetic and ensure both positive experiences with both external and internal guests. Role Details:Full operational responsibility of the daily operations of the Spa, Pool and Fitness Center.Ensure compliance with all state and federal safety regulations as it pertains to the equipment and materials used in the Spa, Pool and Fitness Center.Creates a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service demands, ensuring that the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.Interview, select and retain excellent staff to create a leading service and treatment presentation.Direct, train and maintain high level of job satisfaction/morale/teamwork among associates in respective areas of responsibility.Recommends short and long-term goals for department regarding training and structure.Promotes and champions resort culture and guiding principles, leads this process on an ongoing basis.Implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve departmental financial budgeting goals and expectations.Develops and recommends department products, programs, services, policies, and procedures.Consistently deliver accurate forecasting projections for areas of responsibility and implement effective adjustments as required in staffing and other cost drivers to ensure margin integrity.Coordinates and oversees training opportunities regarding new associates on both services and retail product lines.Assist in ensuring cleanliness of public spa areas to include spa retail, treatment rooms, locker rooms, storage areas, product storage, pool and fitness center.Monitors and maintains the Wellness Center's physical infrastructure, including the pool, fitness room equipment/area.Develops and maintains accurate facility maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.Responsible for coordination and execution of spa packages.Assists in conducting monthly trend statistics on treatments and peak operating times.Consistently researches and recommends change in retail and professional products, keeping abreast of market and industry trends/changes.Liaises with the Health Inspector to ensure government standards are met.Designs, implements and evaluates health education, curriculum, seminars workshops, courses, and self-help programs for both guest and staff use.Compensation: $32.00-$38.00 an hour Spa HoursSpa Open 9am-6pmPool Open 8am-10pmFitness Center Open 4am-10pm BENEFITS: We provide full-time benefits to hourly employees that work 30 or more hours per week.All employees (Including Part-Time) receive free daily hot meals, Free access to the fitness center, showers, locker, pool, and hot tub; Free golf, and Zip-Line.Full-Time employees receive Medical with Employer Contribution, Vision, Dental, Life, Pet, and Accident Insurance as well as 401kwith 3.5% employer match of 1st 6% associate invests, Fully vested immediately, Paid Time Off, hours a year WA State Paid Sick Leave, and discounts on all our portfolio of hotel stays. Someone with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Spa operations or related field.Someone with a License in Massage Therapy or esthetics.CPR Certification.Someone with working knowledge of computer programs including: Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
