Parts Specialist
Feenaughty Machinery Company has been supporting the construction and forestry industries in the Pacific Northwest for over 100 years. Duties/Responsibilities:
· Customer Assistance: Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts, providing exceptional customer service and support.
· Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory levels, including receiving, labeling, and pricing parts to ensure availability and profitability. Forecast parts needs and order accordingly.
· Order Processing: Efficiently process orders, returns, exchanges, and daily invoicing. Retrieve invoices from Vendors.
· Communication & Collaboration: Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. Communicate effectively with all departments, including collaborating with Service Managers to ensure parts availability for repairs and warranty jobs.
· Administrative Tasks: Check and sort out the Service Department inbox, pull completed POs and orders from the shipping department, and back-up phones as needed.
· Problem Solving: Research and resolve issues in both Parts and Service Departments.
· Expense Management: Manage expenses related to the Parts Department.
· Special Orders & Promotions: Oversee special orders and promote the company’s vision, mission, and values.
· Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Sales and customer service skills if working with the public.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing, and estimates.
· Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues.
· Previous Parts or Heavy Machinery experience a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment.
· Leadership skills to keep the Parts Department running smoothly.
· Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years Sales and Inventory experience
1 year Machinery Parts a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Walking or standing 30 percent of the shift
· Ability to lift 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
