Day to day as a Software Accounting Consultant

As a new Software Accounting Consultant at HawkSoft, you can expect a dynamic and engaging workday filled with various responsibilities. Your typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, tailored to your specific time zone. Daily tasks will involve collaborating with clients to understand their accounting software needs and providing expert guidance on system usage and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will participate in training sessions to enhance both your technical knowledge and customer interaction skills.

Additionally, you will work closely with the development team to relay customer feedback and suggest innovative solutions to improve our products. Expect regular check-ins with your team to foster communication and stay updated on project progress. To excel as a Software Accounting Consultant at HawkSoft, you'll need a unique blend of skills and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with at least 3 years of customer service experience and 1 year of training experience. Familiarity with QuickBooks and previous exposure to the insurance industry will give you an added edge. Key responsibilities include consulting with insurance agencies to implement HawkSoft accounting solutions, customizing software configurations, and conducting training on both HawkSoft Client Management System and QuickBooks.

Therefore, strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as is an attention to detail. Organizational, time management, and project management abilities are crucial to handle multiple tasks effectively. Your problem-solving skills will be important for diagnosing issues and providing timely solutions. Lastly, adaptability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative environment is vital for success in this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Consults with and assists insurance agencies with the project of successfully implementing HawkSoft accounting solutions.

Consults with insurance agencies to determine the scope of their customer accounting training needs

and accordingly

customizes the HawkSoft software configuration to meet these needs.

Conducts training courses on the configuration and workflows within the HawkSoft Client Management System and its integration with QuickBooks.

Conducts training courses on the configuration and core functions of QuickBooks.

Maintains necessary customer documentation.

Resolves product or support issues by clarifying the customer's concern; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other department related projects

as needed.

Contributes to other team projects as a Subject Matter Expert

as needed.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required

3 + years of customer service experience

1+ year of training experience

Insurance industry experience is a plus

QuickBooks experience is preferred

Working knowledge of the HawkSoft Client Management System is preferred
