ALUMINUM WELDERS NEEDED - MARINE VESSEL PROJECT
Sigma Design is hiring experienced Aluminum Welders for the MSV(L) marine vessel project in Vancouver, WA. This project offers exceptional stability with funding through 2028 and a production pace of approximately one vessel per quarter.
Position: Welder/Fabricator - Aluminum (Levels I, II, and III)
Pay Rates:
- Welder I: $34.13/hr (5-7 years experience)
- Welder II: $30.14/hr (2+ years experience)
- Welder III: $25.56/hr (1+ year experience)
Shifts: Choice of Monday-Thursday (4x10 hours, 5:00 AM start) OR Friday-Sunday (3x12 hours, 6:00 AM start)

Relocation: Up to $5,000 available for qualified candidates
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabrication welding including manual, semi-automatic, automatic and all-position welding
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and weld symbols
Set up and operate welding equipment
Assemble and tack parts as directed
Utilize knowledge of weld electrodes and wire, machine settings
Maintain acceptable quality and quantity standards
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Aluminum welding experience (GMAW primary, some GTAW)
Experience with .035" and .045" wire gauges
Ability to pass 3G and 4G tests on aluminum plate to AWS D1.2 standards
Capability to consistently pass UT/RT/PT weld joints
Experience reading blueprints and weld symbols
Physical ability to lift up to 60lbs
Capable of working from ladders and scaffolding
Drug screen, background check, and ITAR compliance required
