About the Role
We are currently looking for an apprentice or mid-level carpenter to assist us on a part-time basis. Experience in construction/remodeling is preferred, but most important is the right attitude and mindset– namely, a passion for craftsmanship and design, a desire to always be learning and taking on new challenges, and a strong work ethic. For the right candidate, this position could transition into a journeyman/lead carpenter role.
Responsibilities
Perform carpentry under the guidance of a lead carpenter
Assist in various onsite construction tasks and jobsite cleanliness/organization
Communicate and cooperate with team members and clients in a respectful, positive manner
Requirements
Have reliable transportation to and from work
Be willing to travel to job-sites in the Portland metro area
Be punctual and professional in appearance
Proficiency in basic math and fractions
Work between 20-30 hours per week
1-3 years of construction experience preferred
