Body Shop Technician / large trucks CLASSIC COLLISION
Perform minor and large truck and trailer component repair or replacement.
Technician the removal, replacement, and repair of major components.
This position will be working at our North Portland shop.
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform the following repairs or replacements: minor electrical system repairs, Surface preparation for refinishes, Minor / major Cab repair/ replacement, minor / major Cargo Box repairs
- some fleet cars repairs
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of related education and experience) required
Specializing in the repair/refinish of all series of truck and trailer preferred
Working knowledge of tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools) required
I-Car Certification preferred.
Must be able to work 40 hrs a week.
Complete and disassemble of vehicle in order to assist Estimator in preparing a Repair Plan.
Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplement and minimize repair time
Preform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair.
