We are actively seeking an experienced commercial building maintenance Journeyman Engineer. This is a Monday through Friday position with a rotational on-call schedule for afterhours emergencies. Shifts are typically within the range of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (8 hours shifts) depending on start times.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-motivated, able to work alone or with a team, punctual, have reliable transportation, and flexible with work schedule. Must be able to pass drug screening and extensive background check.
Job description: The Journeyman Engineer operates and maintains one or more systems which provide an establishment with such services as heat, air conditioning (cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air), refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity. Duties involve: Observing and interpreting reading on gauges, meters and charts which register carious aspects of the systems operations, adjusting controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided; recording in logs various aspects of the system’s operation; keeping engines, machinery, and equipment of the system in good working order. The Journeyman Engineer must have a minimum of 2 years recent experience (within the past 4 years) in performance of maintenance and operations of buildings and systems of comparable size and complexity. Siemens BAS experience a plus. Other job duties include light plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
