Local General Contractor is looking for an assistant to help maintain the efficient workflow of the crew and subcontractors on a wide variety of projects. We have a great team and just need someone to take on some of the behind the scenes work, but also jump into the mix when needed. Some typical duties could be client and supplier emails, catching up on paperwork, scheduling, material acquisition, and errands as needed. Basically anything needed to help the Company and keep these projects going in a timely manner. Candidates for this position would have the following:
Some knowledge of the construction industry
Reliable transportation with a reasonable commute to the Hillsboro area
A positive outlook on life
Computer literacy, especially with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
The ability to become fluent in mobile apps for timesheets and photos at jobs sites
An interest in learning new skills, new software and new processes
Good listening and communicating skills
Self-motivation
The foresight and anticipation for upcoming needs, schedules, and support for the Crew
Organizational skills
A positive attitude, the ability to be inspired and inspiring
The ability to work with a sense of urgency
The ability to Ride for the Brand, and love what you do

A little about us: We are a Construction Company specializing in cool, creative projects. Full remodels, kitchens, baths, decks, new construction. Along with site work, we have a full woodworking shop and also take on projects for our clients such as custom cabinets, builtins and garden structures. We run a sawmill and produce beams, posts, and slabs for clients. We are fishermen, mechanics, woodturners, luthiers, artists, hikers, musicians, loggers, readers, and writers.
