The University of Western States has an exciting opening for a Facilities Technician position. The Facilities Technician promptly responds to maintenance tickets, performing minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry work, while maintaining a daily preventative maintenance log. They help coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and monitor building automation systems to ensure optimal environmental conditions. The technician also inspects buildings to identify malfunctions, maintains cleanliness of various areas, manages custodial supplies, and assists with event setup and support. Additionally, they contribute to campus security by conducting regular patrols, checking security systems, and assisting in emergency situations
This is a full-time, benefited position; standard working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30 p.m. Comprehensive benefits package including employer paid and employer sponsored health, dental and vision insurance plan options. 403(b) retirement plan with up to 10% match after one year. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: General maintenance and repair and experience in facilities industry; high school diploma/G.E.D, or equivalent; valid driver license; able to lift 75 lbs. and perform multiple physical exertion tasks daily.
