Field Supervisor - Air Sealing / Construction

Northwest AeroBarrier provides an innovative air sealing service to help contractors in the Oregon and Southwest Washington market build high efficiency homes and meet State Energy Code requirements. We are looking for a very dependable person with a strong work ethic and high integrity that is motivated to grow with the business. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for managing jobs from start to finish and overseeing the Field Technicians. Applicants must be able to follow a proven system as well as troubleshoot problems as they arise. This position has career development opportunities and training available. This is primarily an indoor construction job so you will not be working in the weather.

General Field Supervisor duties will include but not limited to:

Schedule and confirm jobs.

Communicate promptly and effectively with Site Supervisors, clients, NWAB Management and coworkers.

Train, mentor and manage Field Technicians.

Ensure assigned crews are starting and stopping work on time.

Inspect work of Field Technicians for quality control.

Troubleshoot and maintain spray equipment and other equipment.

Manage vehicle maintenance.

Perform seals using spray equipment and its software.

Timely communication with supervisor of jobsite issues/delays.

Manage, implement and enforce the NWAB safety policy and OSHA regulations by all Field Technicians.

Drive and maintain a company vehicle and trailer.

Ensure shop supplies are stocked and re-ordered.

Ensure shop, truck and trailer cleanliness is observed and maintained by all employees.

Collect and communicate post-job information to the company platform timely and accurately.

Meet with clients/contractors to explain the project scope and expectations.

Provide feedback to management to improve company processes and systems.

Observe and strictly enforce Company policies and practices.

SCHEDULE:

This position is generally Monday-Friday, and is typical of the construction cycle with peak season being busy. Jobs locations vary each day. The majority of jobs are in the Portland/Vancouver Metro area, occasionally in other parts of Oregon and Washington. Candidates may have the opportunity to add a business development aspect to the role. Candidates must be flexible to the changing schedules of builders’ job schedules. This position requires occasional out of town travel (usually one-day jobs but sometimes overnight) and occasional long days (12-14 hours). REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years job site management experience.

Training in Building Science and high performance building practices is highly preferred.

A positive, can-do attitude.

Professionalism, kindness and respect among coworkers, clients and other subcontractors.

Mechanical ability to trouble-shoot equipment.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to drive a truck and trailer in all weather conditions.

Basic computer knowledge (Google Email/Chat/Calendar).

Schedule flexibility and ability for occasional out of town travel.

Demonstrate solid leadership.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

High attention to detail.

Ability to problem-solve.

Ambition and be self-motivated.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to wear a tight-fitting respirator.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs infrequently, up to 20lbs frequently.
