We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Technician/Painter to help us carry out our day-to-day tasks. POSITION: Maintenance Technician for our McMinnville area properties
ROLE: Perform maintenance, painting, and other tasks in an efficient manner as assigned
DUTIES:
Maintenance Technician 1-2:
Routinely perform a wide variety of building maintenance and mechanical work.
Diagnose and repair electrical fixtures. (Light fixtures, outlets, switches, smoke alarms, Carbon monoxide detectors)
Diagnose and repair minor plumbing and installations. (Sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, leaky pipes)
Performs general drywall repair and painting
Repair fences, decks
Install vinyl / laminate flooring
Repair / replace interior & exterior pre-hung doors / slabs
Clean property grounds of trash and debris
Exhibit excellent communication skills with residents and property management.
Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property to the Community Manager and/or Property Manager, or if they are not able to be reached, to their supervisor(s).
Practice safe driving as set forth in the Driver’s Safety Addendum and maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in the State of Oregon.
Responsible for the upkeep and care of the company and property provided equipment / tools.
Attend safety meetings and comply with workplace & OSHA safety procedures.
Practice safe work duties at all times.
Maintain and ensure a professional appearance and attitude with co-workers and tenants at all times.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Perform other tasks not mentioned above but as mutually agreed with SMI.
REQUIREMENTS:
Maintenance/painting experience preferred
Must have your own tools
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Valid Driver's License, company vehicle may be provided
Ability to work independently, efficiently, follow directions and learn quickly
Maintain a professional and clean appearance and worksite while completing work orders in a timely manner
Positive and helpful attitude with a team mentality
Verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, service oriented, excellent work ethic
Must be able to pass criminal background check
Understanding of Landlord Tenant Law and Fair Housing a plus
Benefits include paid vacation, sick pay & medical/dental insurance, holiday pay
HOURLY PAY: $22.00 + per hour depending on experience
